MIAMI BEACH, FL - Flamingo South Beach, South Florida’s well-known and celebrated condominium address, today announced that a remarkable 50 units have been sold during the first four months of the year. Notable among these sales are an increase in international purchasers, who accounted for 30% of the units sold, and two sales which topped the $1.2 million mark.
“Savvy buyers today can have their choice of condominium homes, but Flamingo’s resort-oriented lifestyle, picturesque bayfront setting and incomparable South Beach location make it extremely desirable,” said Alex Ballerini, vice president of sales for MCZ/Centrum, the developer of Flamingo South Beach.
Ballerini also pointed to the strength of international currencies and Miami Beach’s renowned reputation as a global resort destination as reasons for the increase in international purchasers.
“We’ve had several sales to individuals from France,” he said. “But we’ve also sold units as vacation homes to buyers from Chile, Venezuela, Finland, the United Kingdom - and even Russia and Croatia.”Flamingo South Beach is situated on a 16.5-acre bayfront property with expansive views of Biscayne Bay, Star Island and downtown Miami. Remaining one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences range in size from 800 square feet to 2,350 square feet, with prices that start in the mid-$300s. Units feature new glass balconies, impact-resistant sliding glass doors, high-speed Internet access, satellite television, walk-in closets and washer/dryers. Through June 1, the developer is offering new purchasers a special “Welcome Home” package that includes the buyer’s choice of zero closing costs, upgraded kitchen, upgraded flooring or no homeowner’s dues for one year.
